As much as we're still basking in the glory of the record sales that Jeep posted back in May, there comes a time when you need to stop living in the past. After all, we're almost halfway through August now and our beauties here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep of Reno have been selling like gangbusters for the past two months. And now that the numbers for July are finally in, it's high time we starting living in the present.

To jog your memory, July of 2012 was a good one for our parent automaker. Back then, Chrysler went and sold 126,089 vehicles in the US. It was a cause for celebration, but now that they've outdone themselves with 140,102 units sold, the elation is hard to contain. Not only does that make for an 11% year-over-year sales increase, but it's the best July sales month that Chrysler's had in the US since 2006.

But wait, the good news doesn't end there! As for the models that helped them get there, all signs point to the 2014 Jeep Compass and the 2013 Jeep Wrangler that each had their best sales numbers ever for the month of July. As for where we go from here, all signs point to up.

"We continue to see strong retail sales, particularly with our pickup trucks and SUVs, and that has helped to propel Chrysler Group to our 40th-consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth,"1 says Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales at Chrysler.

With that said, come do as the masses do by going for a spin in one of the best-sellers at our dealership here in Reno, NV. Because if things keep going like they're going, we can't wait to start living in the future.
