We don't know about you, folks, but we here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep of Reno had ourselves a Fourth of July for the ages earlier this month. We're talking blue light specials on our new and used cars, Springsteen turned up to 11 and hot dogs on the beach when the day was finally done. Oh yes, we were awfully proud to be Americans that day, and given our affinity for these Jeep models on our lot, is it really all that surprising?

As far as the auto industry is concerned, we've always been of the mindset that you'd be hard-pressed to find a better representation of that tried and true American-made quality than a good old-fashioned Jeep. After all, it's not every lineup that can attest to having military-issue roots. Well in an effort to determine which products on the market, automotive or otherwise, are the most patriotic brands around, the New York researching firm Brand Keys took the streets.

They surveyed 4,500 consumers and ranked the most patriotic products on a scale of 100 (with 0 being the least patriotic and 100 being the most). When the dust finally settled, they were left with 25 quintessentially American products on their list with none other than Jeep at the top of it. As for why they conducted this survey in the first place, the answer goes deeper than you may think:

"As marketers traditionally operate on the Independence Day theory that a patriotic, flag-waving call-to-emotion will motivate consumers to behave more positively toward their brands, we wanted to see which brands actually led when it came to that particular value,"1 says Robert Passikoff, president of Brand keys.

So if you'd like to see for yourself why Jeep bested the competition with a mighty score of 98, feel free to take a spin in one of the patriotic beauties at our dealership here in Reno, NV (like the aptly-named 2014 Jeep Patriot). Springsteen would approve.
