If you don't spend all your days at a new and used car dealership, then we can't really blame you if you don't get excited about the investment news from one of our favorite automakers here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep of Reno. But when we recently heard about the investments Jeep was making in their auto plan in Toledo, OH, we were giddy as could be. It meant things were going well, that things would only getter, that our hard work was paying off.

Not only that, but it meant that the masses were loving these beauties just as much as we do.

The last time that Jeep posted their best-ever May sales numbers was way back in the glory days of 2007. Not to say that year-over-year sales haven't been anything short of impressive since, but we've been shooting to surpass that milestone from one year to the next. And with big sales across a number of our most popular nameplates, we're proud to say that a new record has been set.

Just last month, Jeep announced that they had set a new all-time sales record for the month of May. In terms of specifics, they moved 16,272 2013 Jeep Wrangler models, marking a 13% increase for the month. Not only that, but the 2013 Jeep Compass boasted a whopping 42% sales increase, the largest year-over-year sales gain for any Jeep model in our lineup.

And as you can likely imagine, the higher-ups were mighty pleased with the news.

So if you'd like to learn more about why the masses are going crazy for these record-breaking models on our lot, the experts in car parts department here in Reno, NV would be happy to fill you in. As they say, the proof is in the pudding.
