If you've ever been driving on the highway and heard a sudden beep come from behind while you're trying to change lanes, you know what that beep means - you've encroached on someone's space. Or, more simply, their vehicle was in your blind spot, putting you and yours at risk when trying to make a quick lane switch. Thankfully, to combat the harry situations blind spots can create, the 2015 Chrysler Town & Country comes equipped with available blind spot monitoring. See how this innovative safety feature works in the video below:

Using two ultra-wide band radar sensors that can detect a vehicle up to one lane away, the Town & Country is able to sense whether or not a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change. If there is a vehicle in your blind spot, small icons on the exterior mirrors will be illuminated. Fortunately, the blind spot monitoring system works not only when changing lanes but also when backing out of parking spaces.
