A few months ago, you might recall that our parent automaker posted their 40th-consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. It was a point of pride for all of us here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep of Reno and a milestone that doesn't come easy. Since then, we've been shifting our focus to fuel economy and birthdays, but make no mistake: the winning streak continues.

Just this week, the brass at Chrysler announced that they had sold 143,017 units in the US last month. While it only made for a 1% increase over the US sales in September of 2012, it was enough to give the brand their best September sales numbers since 2007.

As for the best-sellers that helped us accomplish such a feat, there are two in particular worth mentioning: the 2014 Jeep Compass and the 2014 Jeep Patriot, each of which had their best-ever September sales with a 27% and 19% sales increase, respectively. Needless to say, it's been a cause for celebration.

"Even though industry sales dipped during September, Chrysler Group still managed to eke out a slight sales increase for the month," says Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales at Chrysler. "Our dealers had two less selling days in September compared with a year ago, but they still outperformed the industry and extended our sales streak to 42-consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains."1

So if you'd like to experience these four-wheelers for yourself, your test drive awaits you at our dealership here in Reno, NV. Because if things keep going like they're going, who knows what October has in store?
